Masaru Iijima

Director for Grain Trading Team

Masaru Iijima is the Director for Grain Trading Team, Grain Trade and Operation Division, Crop Production Bureau, MAFF. Since joining the Food Agency in MAFF in 1992, he has been primarily involved in management of the state trading and has been involved in the import and supply wheat, barley and rice. He had served as an agricultural attaché at the Consulate General of Japan in Perth, Australia from 2005-2008 and at the Consular Office of Japan in Portland, U.S.A. from 2013-2016. He previously served as the Director for Export Promotion Division at Hokuriku Regional Agricultural Administration Office (Kanazawa). Iijima graduated from Faculty of Agriculture at Nagano Prefecture Farmers Academy.
